Howard Jensen

Howard Jensen Professor - Acting and Directing

Howard has taught at Indiana University since 1972. For twenty-seven years he was Head of the Acting and Directing Program. While he has acted in and directed plays from many periods, his area of expertise is Shakespeare.

As well as directing at IU, he has directed Shakespeare at the Alabama, Oregon, and Utah Shakespeare Festivals. He has worked for fifteen seasons at the Utah Shakespearean Festival, including the season when the festival was given the 2000 Tony Award for outstanding regional theatre. He also continues to act, most recently at the Indiana Repertory Theatre.
