About Ella Berry

Ella Berry is a sophomore at IU, double majoring in Contemporary Dance and International Studies while pursuing a Spanish minor. Ella is from Chicago, IL and has trained at Gus Giordano Dance School and Definition Dance Academy, studying jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, and tap. She was also a member of the youth training program at Inaside Dance Chicago and attended various summer intensives throughout Chicago. 

Ella is member of the Hutton Honors College. She is a Metz Scholar through Hutton, as well as a Founder Scholar through the college of Arts and Sciences. She was awarded a position on the Executive Dean's List for the Fall 2016-Spring 2017 year. Ella presented at the IU Research Symposium in Spring 2017 as a part of the IU Diplomacy Lab in conjunction with the State Department.  

Thus far, Ella has performed in multiple Contemporary Dance Department performances, including the Junior Choreographic Showcase in 2016 and 2017, the Senior Choreographic Showcase (New Moves) in 2017, and Bodies of Light in 2018. Ella is a member of the Movement Cooperative and the University Players and enjoys dancing in their student-run shows. She hopes to continue learning as much as she can and incorporate her many passions into her future endeavors.
