About Katie Malish

Katie Malish is currently a senior double-majoring in Theatre & Drama as well as Secondary Language Arts Education here at Indiana University. Originally from Chardon, Ohio, she is ecstatic to be playing Monica Murray in By the Bog of Cats. Some of her previous credits include: for IU Theatre: Titus Andronicus (Martius/ U.S. Tamora), for University Players: The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Jeanie), for IU Independent Projects: Resting Bitch Face (Funda), Measure for Measure (Mistress Overdone/ Mariana), Emergency (Mom), for Red Barn Summer Theater: A Thousand Clowns (Sandra), Funny Thing… Forum (Geminae), and for Cardinal Stage Company: Frankenstein (Servant). Other favorite credits of hers include: Beauty and the Beast (Belle), South Pacific (Nellie), The Fantasticks (Luisa), and Pride and Prejudice (Elizabeth). Katie is also extremely passionate about education. Aside from performing, Katie hopes to share her love of theatre and performing through teaching, either in the secondary classroom setting or through theatre programs with local companies. She hopes to instill in her students an appreciation for theatre as both a performance art as well as a form of literature.
